Robert Hernandez, known to many as “Mr. H.” is Co-Founder of AGUILA where his initial duties focused on carrying storage boxes, moving materials, furniture, assisting students, and more. However, it is his commitment to Mrs. H. in listening to her when she wakes him suddenly, in the middle of the night ,with a “Scathingly Brilliant Idea”. Those ideas turned into dreams that have and continue to serve AGUILA students with Mr. H. always “on the ready”. Mr. H. obtained his BA from the College of Santa Fe with additional graduate work in Public Administration/Social Work at Arizona State University. Additionally, he is a certified Elementary/High School teacher in Arizona. His background includes working in the area of senior services, education and behavioral health. For the past 8 years he has moved into the private sector where he credits his success in developing positive relationship to his experience in the human services arena and his role in AGUILA. Mr. H. was the driving force in the development of the AGUILA Men of Honor where young men focus on areas of leadership, community and respect for women as guiding principles for true success in college, career and life. A proud father of 4 strong young women and a doting grandfather of 5 angels, Mr. H. is dedicated to creating a better world through the critical work in AGUILA.
