Dr. Ortiz book An African American and Latinx History of the United States, centers the voices of abolitionists, slave rebels, immigrant rights activists, labor organizers, and anti-colonialists.

Dr. Paul Ortiz is Associate Professor of History and Director of the Samuel Proctor Oral History Program at the University of Florida.
